Munson Steed is CEO and Chief Thought Producer of Steed Media Group, Inc., a multimedia company that includes newspapers, magazines, television programming, internet properties, custom publishing, signature events, ideation services and more.

For more than 10 years, Steed Media Group has produced and executed innovative projects that deliver the African American Consumer and Media Market to clients such as Ford Motor Company, McDonald’s, Toyota, Target, and several others. Steed is responsible for the
overall management of the company, including strategic planning, marketing and business development. Under his leadership, the company has developed its flagship publication, Rolling Out, into the largest chain of African American-owned weekly papers in the nation, with a circulation of more than one million copies weekly in 19 markets. He has also built several urban lifestyle brands to serve as relevant touch points to reach the consumer including Producer 10, Club Hard Head, Talking Pretty, and Female Success Factor. He has recently added Hip Hop on Demand, a video-on-demand channel reaching 30 million
households to the Steed Media portfolio.

A graduate of Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia, Steed began his entrepreneurial ventures while still in school, by combining his seasoned retailing and merchandising skills with his love for music and business. Steed launched a retail and entertainment company specializing in selling T-shirts and other college paraphernalia, in addition to the creation
and management of a concert promotion and special events company.

Steed’s vision includes a convergence of traditional and digital media with an emphasis on engagement marketing. He also serves as a consultant to several companies, agencies and brands interested in reaching consumer audiences using new and relevant methods.
An avid painter, art collector writer, and traveler, Steed currently resides in Atlanta and Chicago.
